"So I asked, 'Why are we staring? Is something gonna happen? Is it gonna do a trick?' and she replied, 'Yes, it's going to do inertia! Inertia is happening RIGHT NOW!'...but yeah, they wouldn't let me touch the cookie."

So, apparently one of my sibs tried to contact Joe T. earlier....

Account as told by Fluffè:

I called Joe on what I assumed was his cell phone. It was answered by an unknown female. She asked, "Yes?" and I asked, "Is Joe there?"

She said, "Yeah, hold on a minute." There was a pause, a certain amount of rustling, and then another, "Yes, what do you need?" from the same, still unidentified woman.

And I said, "Yes, is Joe there?"

I was informed it would be yet another minute. There was another pause, there was more rustling, and then I was hung up on.

I called back and after much ringing got Joe's machine and left a message.

Mom's commentary:

I can't believe he'd want to spend time with a girl rather than hit people with sticks!

Or rather, I can believe it, but he needs to come home and spend time with the boys...

Concern for Joe is at an all-time high.

And Sean sums up a big difference in our two respective majors:

Sean: Wasn't there a line in the opera where Aeneas says something about "what language can he use"?

Me: "But, ah, what language can I try my injured queen to pacify"?

Sean: Yeah. I couldn't help but think, "Aeneas needs a nondeterministic finite automata that only accepts language that will pacify his queen."

Well, it's been a while; things've been rather busy. Quick update:

1. I am no longer a teenager.
2. Scholarship audition was moved. It was yesterday. I did rather meh.
3. Prism/mosaic concert was cancelled due to ice. It is hopefully going to be rescheduled.
4. Dido and Aeneas is almost over. There's a recording session tonight and then that's done.
5. Midterms, yay. Only not.
6. Have seen family a few times. This makes me happy.
7. I'm torn between attending a collegiate choir workshop and recording on a professional CD for a composer who asked.
8. There is a choir concert Tuesday.

I think that about covers most of my recent goings-on of importance. Perhaps I shall write more later. For now:
